The 47 Spot is A Christian Hip Hop spot where Jesus is celebrated, the spirit is elevated and purpose is initiated.
Adam and Belinda are the founders of The 47 Spot (Founded 2011). The 47 Spot is a separate ministry we support. The is a great monthly event to get involved with if you are looking for an opportunity to do some urban ministry.
St. Claire is the overseer of the Atlanta location.
Dasi Love is the host of the Columbus location.
- An Instruction From God: It was not simply a good idea or seeing a similar event that sparked the creation of this ministry. Bishop Adam was questioning what his next assignment from the Lord would be. He cleared his calendar, including work and spent 3 days locked away for fasting and prayer. The result was this simple instruction from God: Start a Hip Hop night, do it once a month and begin in Lilburn, GA. In February of 2011 this vision was launched with our first monthly event. The event has continued monthly ever since.
- Small Beginnings: Over and over again we have seen God’s Word in action. Jesus tells a parable and in Mathew 25:21 says, “You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things.” The first event began in the home of Adam and Belinda. A room that was formerly the garage, had been finished, a sound system was added, 30 people showed up and the search for a new venue began.
- God Rewards Faithfulness: Now people from all over the world know of The 47 Spot and the work we are doing to change lives and impact communities. A simple search on the internet and you will find @the47spot somewhere. Platforms like Facebook and Instagram allow us to take the Gospel far beyond two cities and they have also been additional resources for networking and building Kingdom relationships.
